When drivers are granted a drivers license, they are expected to operate their vehicles responsibly and follow the rules of traffic. However, one man who was arrested in Georgia recently was involved in at least 15 hit-and-run accidents before police finally tracked him down. The man reportedly hit five vehicles when he was driving in DeKalb County in Georgia and hit at least 10 more vehicles in Gwinnett County in Georgia.
Many vehicle accidents result in serious injuries. Such was the case for an accident that occurred in Clearwater a few weeks ago. Two people were riding a motorcycle in Clearwater and were on their way to St. Petersburg when a car reportedly "turned in front of them." They could not stop before colliding with the car and both riders on the motorcycle were injured.
A multi-vehicle collision last week resulted in a wrecked school bus, several injuries, and no charges against the driver of a tractor-trailer that caused the collision. The school bus was dropping off several children with its lights flashing one afternoon last week. A pickup truck had stopped behind the school bus to wait for it to begin moving again.
Many Florida residents have probably experienced a fall or two during their lives. Some of these falls may have been the result of tripping over a cord or on an uneven sidewalk square. Other falls are often the result of being thrown off balance for any one of a variety of reasons.
A person's life can change in an instant. Or so the cliché goes. The family of an Oldsmar man could attest after this New Year's Day that the cliché can be true. A young Oldsmar man was crossing a street in Oldsmar around 2 a.m. on New Year's Day when he was hit and killed by a car.
