Motorcycle riders in Florida take pride in their enjoyment of riding the open roads on a powerful bike. Part of riding a motorcycle, however, is accepting the inherent risks with it and that other drivers might not pay strict attention. These dangers include being involved in a motorcycle accident. The vulnerability that motorcycle riders face can result in devastating injuries and even death. This is even more prominent in places like Florida where there are a great many older automobile drivers who might not have the reaction time or judgment skills to account for a motorcyclist.

A recent motorcycle accident on U.S. 41 in Ruskin, Florida, has claimed the life of a 26-year-old man. According to law enforcement, the man was riding a 2012 Kawasaki and heading north. At that time, a 2010 Kia Sport was going west. The Kia, driven by a 72-year-old man, tried to make a left turn at the intersection and was subsequently hit by the motorcycle on its driver’s side. The motorcycle accident victim was taken to the hospital where he died. The driver and his 73-year-old passenger were uninjured.

Even in motorcycle crashes in which the rider survives, there are problems that are likely to arise as a result of the accident. These include injuries, lost wages and ability to work, medical costs, costs for treatment and rehabilitation, pain and suffering and other issues. A person who was injured in a motorcycle accident might have a family to support and be unable to do so. The injuries could lead to the family having to care for a person who is unable to care for him or herself. It can lead to personal, emotional and financial trauma over the long-term. If there is a fatal motorcycle crash, the aftereffects can be even worse. Those who are facing this need to know what to do to seek compensation.

In this accident, a young man was killed in a motorcycle crash when he hit a turning vehicle. A full investigation must be conducted with the interests of the man’s family in mind to determine if this accident was due to a negligent driver and what the circumstances were. It is important to accrue as much information as possible when determining whether to pursue a case.
