Drunk driving crash involving 3 cars critically injures woman

There are numerous dangers on the road in Florida and one of the most damaging is encountering a drunk driver. A drunk driving accident can cause injuries and fatalities. It can lead to long-term medical care, rehabilitation, massive medical costs and the loss of a normal life. If there is a fatality, the family left behind will have to move on without a loved one. A car accident victim needs to be aware of how to move forward with a claim after a car accident has occurred so compensation can be provided after the incident.

A three-car crash sent a woman to the hospital in critical condition recently. The accident occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. as a 26-year-old man driving a 2005 Nissan was heading north and rear-ended a 2006 Nissan driven by a 24-year-old woman. The car was reducing its speed to turn to go into a parking lot. That vehicle subsequently ran into the back of a 2015 Nissan driven by a 41-year-old woman. The 24-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition. The 41-year-old had minor injuries.

The first driver who is believed to have caused the series of crashes was not hurt. Nor was his 32-year-old passenger. During the accident investigation, the driver of the first car was found to have been under the influence. He was arrested and charged with DUI and driving recklessly.

With any car accident in which there are injuries, it is important that the victims and their families know that a crash is not simply a matter of getting over the damage to person and property. There are many other factors that will come to the forefront including lost time at work, lost wages and the inability to live a normal life. It is imperative that those who have been involved in a crash understand how to move forward with a legal case.
